[Editor's Note: I briefly stopped by the event during my lunch hour. I was impressed by the number of people who came down to Richmond on a cold windy day. A big thanks to everyone.]

With much anticipation, my brother Dick picked me up at 6:30 AM, along with Moss and we were off. Both of us looking forward to meeting the Granny's.. Let me say right now , if you have not had the opportunity to meet them, you really don't know what you are missing!! Fantastic down home people.

Photo one ..... Naturally due to construction traffic jam, so we ended up being a bit late.

Next: of course to my displeasure, we came across a TYSON truck loaded down with chickens, feathers and feces flying in the morning air!!

Being that I am not a city person at all, lots of one way streets, Our first glimpse of the WAR WAGON!!! It was parked right in front of the United States Court of Appeal Building! My comment to Dick, quite appropriate, don't you think? (smile)

Lots of police presence, and found out later they had introduced themselves to the Granny's and were there for our protection, just in case of problems. Evidently this is something they do, when any kind of protest is held. Parking in this area was a problem. Dick left me off at the RV with table, chairs and whatever, then he drove around for almost an hour trying to find a place to park. Being that we were not familiar with the area and all the construction, parking for the most part was restricted and meters were covered up.

What a beautiful dog!!! Greg L and wife, Marsha, brought Sakin, their working farm dog. Sakin, an Akbash, is equipped with his own statement. He was a nice addition to the group, for sure. He is very protective of all of his animals on their farm.

Meet BUDDY, Linda's ( Granny) constant companion. She has had him for 10 years and travels with the Granny's all the time. I must admit he was quite disturbed, rattling his cage and looking sad, because he wanted to be out with all the people! He was very friendly to all and greeted everyone when they went into the RV.

The Davis's Nancy and Eugene on the left Greg and wife on the right.. They are the other family who were victims, the same day as the Henshaws.. . . People have asked as to why they have not been so vocal on their Raid? Answer is simple, they did not have a computer in their home. Nancy had one at work, but employers frown on using company computers for personal issues. Thus now we know why!!!

Meet Monty Cross from Fauquier County.. Another story about useless killings of baby deer. These are the stories no none ever learns about, unless people who care come together and share. We really need to have someone keep a record of all the ABUSE handed out to everyone, which always ends up to be no traceable disease. But always to little to late..

Thank you so much to VICFA member Larisa Sparrowhawk, for making up posters that told the story.. This one, showing the agents after a kill, hi-fiving each other like it was a game .. By the way Larisa who lives quite a distance away, got up at 3 AM in order to drop the posters off at Lois house and be to work by 6:30 AM.. Beyond the call of duty, thank you Larisa for your dedication to the CAUSE.

GOD bless the children, Here is Lois daughter who stood all day carrying her sign.. and handing out flyers. People this is what our fight is all about .. The future generations that will never know FREEDOM TO FARM, as many of have done all our lives.. Little by little the Powers to be are taking away our Freedoms in the name of POWER, GREED, MONEY AND CONTROL!

This photo and the next one speak for themselves. Dedicated people braving the wind and cold to reach out to others in need. Here we have, the small livestock farmer, the sportsmen, the consumer, and the small farm producers, together as one, with the same goal in mind. Each in our own way, can contribute their energy and skills to fight all phases of Government control of our Freedoms.

As the day passed there were times when people stopped by and there was activity around the RV. As you can see in the background, this was not an area where there was a lot of foot traffic. BUT we even had a taxi driver drive up in front of the RV and ask for flyers. That was a plus!!

Arin Sime stopped by and stayed for a few hours. Here he pictured with Cindi Henshaw. He is a candidate for State Senate 2007, He also presented the Granny's with a State of Virginia flag. They were very humbled by this gesture, because in all of their travels to many, many states NO ONE HAS EVER PRESENTED THEM WITH A FLAG. Sincere thanks to you Arin.

The day was soon winding down, the sun had disappeared behind the buildings, and it was getting more windy than ever. Brrrrrr cold. Granny Linda is such a busy lady, no time for haircuts in her travels, SO Granny Becky volunteered her services, which Linda gladly accepted.

As the Granny's left the area, along with them went a piece of my heart. I admire their stamina and their fight for truth and justice, all at their own expense, with very limited donations for their gas and travel expenses.

Was the Protest a success. you ask?

Considering all factors, Yes, indeed it was. We were able to reach and chat with many people passing by. We accomplished a lot between ourselves, sharing dreadful stories of past and present, that have caused much mental, as well as physical stress. We all shared a common bond of dreaded FEAR for the FUTURE of our great country, America.

Most of the time, when these kinds of horrible situations happen upon us, we feel alone. Just knowing that other people understand, helps so much. As all of us ask ourselves, Will I be next, and if so am I prepared?

Where will it all end??

For the Henshaw's and the Davis',Monty, Renee' and others who have suffered at the hands of many of this country's so called law enforcement agency's, no one knows? No one knows, BUT we will fight on, our children and grand children depend on us to make them safe and pass on to them, the same Freedoms that we have known until now.

Its up to all of us, together we can make a difference.

Many thanks to all who made this rally a success. People from all over this country, sent out messages and suggestions, made signs, volunteered to carry signs, just to mention a few things.

Our special gratitude to the three Granny's... We are grateful to you all, for coming to Virginia and lending us a hand. As your journey continues along the highways, please know our thoughts and prayers go with you for your safety and courage to carry the message across America. Our love and admiration rides with you.

( Wish I was with y'all) (smile)

Thank you everyone and I hope I did the protest, justice in reporting the event to you.

My best to all,

Becky
